上周六一大早，驱车2个小时，到美加边境的Blaine小镇，辰辰参加了华盛顿州的数学竞赛，他们小组的到了第61名，Bennett另一个小组68名。在104个的队伍中，这个成绩是中等偏下，我觉得辰辰已经是非常可以了，在国内没有参加过奥数，别的学校都是有两年以上的Math Club训练了。
在回来的路上，辰辰主动说到了中学，还要参加数学俱乐部，他自己感觉蛮有成就感的：因为他们组的题目，大部分都是他一个人做的，而且Mental Math没有任何听力困难，都答上了。
一个学生的家长，也是Math Club的老师的一些话：
Of the 104 fifth grade teams Bennett #2 was 61st and Bennett #1 was 68th--since we are going up some seriously high-powered math clubs from both public and private gifted schools, this is pretty good. I have discussed with the kids that what they put into it is what they will get out of it--everyone of the kids could be in the top 25% if they spent more time working at it. I hope they enjoyed the experience and they learned something new about math, about themselves, and about working with others.
